Fantagraphics is shortly to publish a new edition of Prince Valiant, Hal Foster's legendary, Golden Age comic strip of knights, swashbuckling, romance and chivalry. If the captions can seem a little twee at times (see left), Hal Foster's artwork is amazing. Foster was an exceptional talent in an era of exceptional talents.
The new edition reprints the first couple of years of the strip. Check out the PDF of the first ten strips.
